One direct journey, not a train followed by a further leg
Central London, including Kensington, Chelsea, Westminster and Mayfair, is our most requested destination from Heathrow. Kensington alone is home to the Natural History Museum, the V&A and the Science Museum, along with Kensington Palace and the shopping along the King’s Road in Chelsea.
A pre-booked car removes the need to change from rail to Tube or taxi once you reach Paddington. You have one pickup, one vehicle and one destination, with your luggage travelling with you throughout.
Staying in Kensington or Chelsea?
Give us your hotel's full address rather than making Paddington your final stop.
Heading to Westminster or Mayfair?
Book the full address and travel directly from your Heathrow terminal.
Travelling with several bags?
Choose a vehicle with enough passenger and luggage capacity when you book.
On a tight schedule?
Allow sufficient road-travel time for traffic rather than treating the journey estimate as a guaranteed arrival time.

Taxi, Heathrow Express or self-drive to Central London?
The Heathrow Express and Elizabeth line are genuinely fast to Paddington, but Kensington and Chelsea sit a further Tube or taxi ride beyond the station. A private transfer becomes more useful when you have luggage, a group, or a hotel address away from Paddington.
| Option | Journey | Cost | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private taxi | About 45–60 min by road | From £65 per vehicle | Luggage, groups, direct travel and hotel addresses beyond Paddington. |
| Heathrow Express + Underground | Around 35–45 min in total | Per passenger, plus a further Tube fare | Travellers happy to change onto the Tube for the final leg into Kensington or Chelsea.. |
| Self-drive | About 45–70 min | Variable, plus parking and any applicable charges | Travellers comfortable with central London traffic and city driving. |
